Dear Ms. Hillenbrand: First I read Unbroken and was moved so much by the story. I think it will help to direct my life forever. Then I was handed Seabiscuit and told to read it and I think this story will also be a constant reminder of how one creature's spirit can change lives and the world. After a dream about my Mom passing away, which later came to pass exactly as in my dream, I truly believe that our spirits are all equal no matter what the physical form and that we all have our purpose on this earth. Thank you so much for all your hard work on these stories and your fabulous writing that makes them worth reading. I look forward to more of your work.

I am a 1978 graduate of Kenyon College and read your books in part because of that shared connection.

I just finished Unbroken this morning (on my Kindle) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I enjoyed all aspects of the book, including the details about the B-24, which my two uncles flew in Europe in WWII.

What a fascinating and enlightening story about a wonderful and inspiring man! The book reminds me again why I love reading non-fiction.

So, thanks for the great book and please accept our best wishes and prayers in your struggle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Dear Ms Hillenbrand,

I read an excerpt from "Unbroken" in Vanity Fair, and I was mesmerized by Louis' story. I felt like I was lost in the Pacific Ocean with Louis and his fellow sailors. Hunger, thirst, FEAR--I was experiencing those same feelings. It was an incredible read, and I couldn't put it down. I can hardly wait to read the complete book! My husband has already ordered "Unbroken" for his Kindle, and he didn't want to read the excerpt so he can encounter Louis and his life on his own terms. I will buy the book because I still love turning pages and re-reading. I will also give "Unbroken" as Christmas gifts to several family members and friends. Congratulations!

As much as I want to read this, I am going to get it for my step father for Christmas....I think this is a story he will really enjoy reading. Hoping maybe I can borrow it when he's finished....that generation has so many fascinating stories to tell, we all need to listen!
