OUTCASTS UNITED chosen as One Maryland One Book 2010 selection!

OUTCASTS UNITED: An American Town, a Refugee Team, and One Woman's Quest to Make a Difference --by Warren St. JohnOUTCASTS UNITED by Warren St. John is a rich and inspiring story about refugees, soccer, and one amazing woman who holds a team and a community together in the face of daunting challenges.  It is no surprise then that the Maryland Humanities Council chose it as the 2010 selection for its One Maryland One Book program. Among other things, the program brings people together “through the shared experience of reading the same book and participating in book-centered discussions” (sort of  like one huge, state-wide book club!). Whether it’s with your neighbors and community members or your friends and book club members, OUTCASTS UNITED is a book that should be shared and discussed.
