NEIL ARMSTRONG

by Gabriel Dreyer

Once upon a time in 1943 Neil Armstrong was born. As he grew up he tried to build a rocket but it didn't work. Later in 19469 they didn't just build a rocket but it went to the moon! So when he was 26 he stepped on the moon. "One small step for man, one giant step for mankind," he said. Everyone was watching it on T.V. Now it is in lots of history books and lots of people know about him and his adventure to the moon. He had to train a lot for his mission. When he was in space camp he had to get on a string and fly around. He also had to jump on a trampoline. Plus he had to sit in the spinning chair so he could get used to heavy gravity in space. Oh, and he also had to wear his space suit in the pool to get used to weightlessness.

When he finally got into the spaceship he was so excited. He blasted off and it took 6 hours to get into space and then he got to the moon. He decided to do an old experiment called the Leaning Tower of Pisa experiment, by dropping an iron ball and a feather. He dropped them and they both landed at the same time.

THE END
