cover A Sense of Home
There are people all around
Yet I feel all alone.
Lost in the mayhem
I'm trying to find my way home.

I'm tired, I'm lost,
anxious and confused
who knows what fate will choose
sadness or happiness, joy or pain
To me, it's just all the same

Wandering, wondering, thinking about life
Why do I feel so much pain and strife?
Too much chaos for one night
I lay down and rest for the night.

Fortunate
You see them sitting everyday,
Hungry, cold, and all alone
Yet do we bother to
Shed a tear, share our wealth, or lend an ear
No, the reality is that we rarely do
And that's the sad truth about me and you.

So blessed we are,
We take for granted,
All of the things that we are granted
Clothes on our backs, shoes on our feet
Never hungry, we can always eat.
Running water, a roof over our heads
More health than sickness
A simple bed.
So next time we see,
A person with nothing,
At least think about all you have,
Take a moment and be grateful
Say a prayer, and smile.
