Our book group will be discussing the book in October. This is a group of neighbors and many have read the book and all have raved about it. We meet on the street and have discussed it in depth already. Our group is comprised of both men and women, but no special concessions are given to choice for our male companions! The comments are much like the characters in the book – they either love or hate a choice! The ladies try to be more organized. We would love to go to Guernsey and appreciate better the real places that Ms. Shaffer and Barrows evoke so well.

Our group (retired teachers, school social workers and friends) had a good discussion about the book and would love a trip to Guernsey.
Our group read and discussed this book in June. It was one of our most lively discussions. Our group is comprised of retired and currently working social workers and other social services staff. We would absolutely love a trip to Guernsey.
My mother, brother and I have just finished reading the book. How refreshing to finally be swept up on an adventure. It was desperately needed, we have recently lost our father and brother and it pales in comparison to the people of Guernsey. You helped us to move above our troubles and see beyond. Thank You….I can only hope our next book is so kind. So sorry to hear of your aunt dying. We would love a trip to Guernsey, but truthfully we feel we have already been. Our book club is our family and now we are part of yours!
