As a younger reader, 25 and recently engaged in a new city, I identified with the young woman who met and befriended themselves. I acutally listened to the book on CD while traveling this summer. I loved this book! I couldn't put it down, but I didn't want it to end. I laughed, I cried, I remembered so much that I had not thought about in years. I had something in common with each woman, and loved them all.

This was not only a fun read, but also a very inspiring one as well. You can't finish this book without asking yourself "what dreams have I ignored over the years." Beware! I enjoyed the book--the setting of the 60's really set the tone for the life experiences of the characters. Even though I was in high school during the years of the book, it took me back to that time, seeing it from another perspective, yet remembering it from my own experience. I think it would appeal ... I enjoyed reading "the Wednesday Sisters" very much watching the women's group get to know each other over time and support each other. I also enjoyed some of the points on the women's movement during the sixties and seventies. Fascinating how history evolves! My only disappointment was not taking ... (continued)

I found the historical context in the plot quite unique. I grew during the 70's. I like the idea that the characters formed their group and bonded, over their strive to become writers. I do feel however, that the plot waned, and then accelerated to a quick ending.
