1. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, visit www.alexandrialink.com and complete and submit the Official Online Entry Form and The Alexandria Link quiz. Those entrants whose entry forms and correct answers are received between 12:01 a.m. ET on January 30, 2007 and 11:59 p.m. ET on August 17, 2007 will be entered to win. No purchase, entry fee, or payment is necessary to enter or win the Sweepstakes. No mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. Limit one (1) entry per person/e-mail account. Only entries submitted electronically to theWeb sitein accordance with these rules will be eligible for consideration. For purposes of these rules, “receipt” of an electronic entry occurs when Sponsor’s servers record the entry information. Entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of the entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Automated entries are prohibited, and any use of automated devices will result in disqualification. Entries are limited to individuals only; commercial enterprises and business entities are not eligible. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry of information by entrants; lost entries or transmissions; interrupted or unavailable network, server, or other connections; scrambled transmissions or other errors or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human, or electronic, technical malfunctions of the computer hardware, software, or any combinations thereof; or problems associated with any virus or any other damage caused to entrants’ systems. Incomplete entries will be voided. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
2. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the fifty United States excluding Colorado, Illinois, and Florida. Must be eighteen years or older to enter. Employees of Random House, Inc., its parent, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies (including their respective advertising and promotional agencies), and the immediate family members of such individuals and persons living in their homes are not eligible to enter. The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
3. SELECTION OF WINNERS: One grand prize winner will be randomly selected, on or about August 24, 2007, from all eligible entries received within the time limit. Winner will be notified by mail or e-mail by August 30, 2007. If the winner cannot be reached or does not acknowledge notification within five (5) days following the first notification attempt, the prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries. Winner will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Releases within ten (10) days after the notification date, or an alternate winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries received. ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ELIBIIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED WITHIN THE DEADLINE.
4. PRIZES: One Grand prize winner will receive one (1) hardcover copy of The Alexandria Link and twenty five (25) books from Modern Library no later than October 1, 2007. The twenty five (25) Modern Library titles include:
The retail value of the prize is $575.95. All other expenses and all federal, state, and local taxes are winner's sole responsibility. No transfer or substitution of prizes.
5. Limitations of Liability/Reserved Rights. Sponsor (including its its parent, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies) shall have no obligation or responsibility with regard to (i) entries that contain inaccurate information or do not comply with these rules, (ii) entries, prize claims, or notifications that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, damaged, or otherwise not received by the intended recipient, in whole or in part, due to computer or technical error of any kind, (iii) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or (iv) any damages or losses of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize.
6. Random House Inc., in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Web site or otherwise violating these rules. Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the Sweepstakes if the Sweepstakes cannot be completed as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, or technical failures of any sort.

8. Miscellaneous. For the name of the winner, available after September 5, 2007, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Random House, Inc.
