News

October 11, 2006

Hi — I’m Hillary, and starting today I’ll be serving up the Pantheon Graphic Novels News. It’s been awhile since we’ve updated you, but we’ve been plenty busy here at Pantheon.

We sponsored the 2006 MoCCA Art Festival , made our debut at Comic Con San Deigo and picked up 3 Eisner Awards . Charles Burns’s Black Hole won for Best Graphic Album-Reprint. Joann Sfar’s The Rabbi’s Cat won for Best U.S. Edition of Foreign Material, and Chris Ware’s The Acme Novelty Library was honored for Best Publication Design.

Hopefully, this isn’t just a passing fad. As we continue to head towards literary domination, I hope to keep you informed of many more events, awards, and anything else I can find that has to do with comics along the way. If you have something you think I should share, please email me at pantheon@randomhouse.com. I may even listen.
