Each passing day seems to bring more good news for Marjane Satrapi.

Her film, Persepolis was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and the Independent Spirit Award and has received numerous awards, including the LA Film Critics Association Award for Best Animation and the National Board of Review’s Freedom of Expression Award.

It was also just nominated for an Oscar in the Animated Feature film category.
