Crown acquires world publication rights to a book being written by former President George W. Bush

World publication rights to a book being written by former President George W. Bush have been acquired for Crown. “My goal is to bring the reader inside the Oval Office for the most consequential moments of my personal and political life,” says Mr. Bush of his work-in-progress, tentatively scheduled for fall 2010 release.

Unaccustomed Earth and A Case of Exploding Mangoes win the 2009 Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best Book and Best First Book, respectively.

Unaccustomed Earth by Jhumpa Lahiri and A Case of Exploding Mangoes by Mohammed Hanif are regional winners of the 2009 Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best Book and Best First Book, respectively.
