This week, we celebrated the launch of interior designer Suzanne Tucker’s book, Rooms to Remember, at Christie’s in Rockefeller Center. We had a wonderful time and a great turnout. We celebrated the publication of Annabelle Selldorf’s first monograph at the beautiful Neue Galerie, renovated by Annabelle herself. White on White, a collection of tritone photographs by Steve Rosenthal, comes out next week, but a group exhibition at Panopticon Gallery in Boston featuring some of Steve’s photographs opened this week as well.

Another yet-to-be-released title, A Clearing in the Woods, with photographs by Roger Foley, has already received some attention on the blogosphere. Check out this article in GardenDesignOnline.

The Hot Topics: Architectural Panel, at Guild Hall in East Hampton, features Guild Hall Academy of the Arts Lifetime Honorees Paul Goldberger, Charles Gwathmey, Richard Meier, and Robert A. M. Stern, and is moderated by Edward Bleier.

Paul Goldberger has contributed to numerous Monacelli titles, most recently, Counterpoint: Daniel Libeskind in Conversation with Paul Goldberger. A collection of his essays—most of which come from his tenure at The New Yorker—titled Building Up and Tearing Down, will release this fall.

Robert A. M. Stern is one of our bestselling authors, with eight Monacelli titles currently in print, and another on the way: Robert A. M. Stern: Buildings and Projects 2004-2009, to be released this fall.

Gwathmey Siegel: Houses and Richard Meier Architect, monographs on the respective firms, were also published by The Monacelli Press.

NEWS: Mayor Bloomberg announces the publication of Public Art for Public Schools at Gracie Mansion

Last night at Gracie Mansion, The Monacelli Press celebrated the launch of Public Art for Public Schools with author Michele Cohen, photographer Stan Ries, and Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, who wrote the book’s foreword.

Bloomberg and Schools Chancellor Joel I. Klein also announced the book’s publication in a press release yesterday. “Public Art for Public Schools takes readers on a wonderful, eye-opening tour of our schools,” Chancellor Klein said in the release.
