Who are we?
Living Language is the foremost name in the field of foreign language self-study. Since 1946, millions have learned to speak, read, and write a new language with Living Language courses. Originally developed by U.S. government experts for overseas-bound service personnel and diplomats, the Living Language line now includes books, CDs, DVDs, and digital content in 20 different languages.
Our mission is simple. We believe that language enriches lives, opens doors both professionally and personally, and above all builds communities. Language study should not be all drills and rote memorization; languages should live. Language underlies all areas of human interaction, and we strive to provide the highest quality language instruction tools that meet the widest variety of learning styles, needs, and personal or professional goals.
