Celebrations
So we completely missed celebrating Bastille Day this past Saturday. It's possible I might have uttered a French phrase or two on the day, and I'm pretty sure I had a glass of Chardonnay, but I didn't catch the fireworks.
I wish I had remembered; apparently there are some great celebrations held in cities around the country for Bastille Day, including a pétanque tournament in Brooklyn and music in Boston.
Who's celebrating next? Well, according to Wikipedia, July 17th is Constitution Day in South Korea, and July 20th is Independence Day in Colombia. Bring me some bibimbap and bandeja paisa — I feel the need to celebrate. (SUZANNE)
