The New York Times declares Imperial Life in the Emerald City a notable book of 2007
Imperial Life in the Emerald City—written by Rajiv Chandrasekaran, assistant managing editor at the Washington Post—was chosen by the New York Times as one of the 10 Notable Books of 2007. In its review in the New York Times Book Review, Michael Goldfarb praises Imperial Life, calling it ''a clearly written, blessedly undidactic book. It should be read by anyone who wants to understand how things went so badly wrong in Iraq.''
