National Academies announce 2007 Communication Awards: Carl Zimmer wins for science writing in print.
Carl Zimmer received the 2007 Communication Award from the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering and Institute of Medicine. The award, which recognizes excellence in reporting and communicating science, engineering, and medicine to a general audience, is presented annually and includes a prize of $20,000. Zimmer will be honored at the Keck Foundation Futures Conference in Irvine, California this November.
