Desk Copies
Knopf Academic Marketing is also pleased to provide complimentary desk copies of any adopted required text for instructors at accredited colleges and universities.
One desk copy is available for every twenty copies ordered. We cannot ship desk copies to residences: they must be mailed in care of your institution and to valid U.S. addresses only.
All requests are subject to availability and approval.
Desk copies may be ordered online using the form provided on the Random House Academic resources website.
Examination Copies
Examination copies are available to college professors or instructors seeking titles to review for adoption consideration. Please note that the policies outlined below apply to U.S. institutions only.
Requests must be made in writing on college letterhead stating the name and ISBN of the title. You will receive 50% off the retail price for all hardcovers and paperbacks priced at or over $20.00. Make checks or money orders (no cash) payable to Random House, Inc (For Canadian examination copy policies, please click here.)
Examination copies are limited to ten per teacher per school year and can only be mailed to valid U.S. addresses. Please do not fax your examination copy requests.

Greenaway Advance Copy Plan
The Greenaway Advance Copy Plan is a subscription-based contract which offers libraries new adult trade titles for review, prior to publication at a modest cost. Several plans are available based on publishing imprint and format. Library systems may choose the plan or plans best suited to their needs as outlined in the Greenaway Contract.To be eligible, libraries must have book budgets in excess of $100,000 annually and have at least ten branches or system members. Completion of the contract verifies these guidelines.
