Jean Cocteau made two drawings for Elsa Schiaparelli—she used them in her Fall 1937 collection to make this dress. They can be seen as two people kissing AND an urn filled with flowers on a pedestal. At Luba, this dress would easily cost five figures. (Elsa Schiaparelli is the only designer to have dressed the Duchess of Windsor AND Mae West.)

"Women shop at Luba because they trust my taste. They come confident I will steer them to something breathtaking. I know my customers. I know my stock. Like my grandmother, like my mother, I have total garment recall," -pp 37, To My Dearest Friends
