OF SNOW MOUNTAIN PASSAGE
THE OVERLAND MONTHLY was one of California's
literary magazines. Founded in the 1860s by Bret Harte,
it was still going in June 1917, when they published
an interview with Patty Reed, then 79. I came across
it at the Bancroft Library, U.C. Berkeley.
