Alvin "Bubba" Bixby A Bully with a capital B. He has horrible breath and a habit of pounding on little kids. Are bullies born mean or do they become mean over time? And more important -- can they be brought to justice and reformed?

Eve and Steven Byrd Nolan's mom and dad. Mom designs missile-tracking software. She's a little overprotective. She worries. And if she knew her son was Shredderman-she'd worry even more! Dad is a reporter for the Cedar Valley Gazette. He's very proud of Nolan, but wishes he would remember to untuck his pants from his socks.

Max and Kevin Bubba's henchmen. Members of his bully club. Why do they hang out with Bubba when he's so mean? It's a mystery. (Could it be that they're not too bright?)

Sergeant Billy Klubb A Cedar Valley policeman. People call him Sarge. One of the good guys.

Trinity She sits at Table 4 with Nolan and is one of the few people who doesn't call him Nerd. Definitely friend material. She loves to draw horses-which is why Bubba calls her Pony-girl. Or maybe it's those ponytails ...

Mr. Elmo Green Teacher extraordinaire! Some people call him the Happy Hippie but Nolan thinks he's way cool. He shreds on guitar -- even during class!

Dr. Ivana Voss Principal of Cedar Valley Elementary school. She's a no-nonsense, by the book, strict disciplinarian kind of principal -- kinda bossy.
