British Writer Doris Lessing wins 2007 Nobel Prize in Literature
British writer Doris Lessing won the 2007 Nobel Prize in literature, the Swedish Academy said Thursday, citing her as "that epicist of the female experience, who with skepticism, fire and visionary power has subjected a divided civilization to scrutiny."
Vintage publishes a number of Lessing's titles, including The Fifth Child , Stories, and The Summer Before the Dark.
