Eugenio Montale

Eugenio Montale was born in Genoa and worked as a journalist and critic, first in Florence, then in Milan. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1975.Harry Thomas edited Selected Poems of Thomas Hardy (Penguin, 1993) and Talking With Poets (Handsel Books, 2004). He lives in Watertown, Massachusetts.
