Welcome!
Witchcraft,
or Wicca as it is often referred to, is the fastest growing religion
in America. It's estimated that there are about 4 million practitioners
in America alone, most of whom are learning from books -- and
now from websites.
As I was privileged to travel around the world teaching and lecturing
after the publication of my first book, Book
of Shadows, and as thousands of letters poured in from
readers, I realized that people wanted, and needed, more than
just another "how-to" book of spells and formulas. They wanted
more. People want to know "why." People want to understand Witchcraft,
not just as a means towards an end, but as a meaningful religion.
Understanding the why behind the how unlocks the real power
of Witchcraft as a religion -- the power that makes real magic
work and that transforms everyday life into a spiritual adventure.
And
so I have written Witch Crafting: A Spiritual Guide to Making
Magic, (along with this website). It's meant for both new
and skilled practitioners because it not only explores the how
and why of Witchcraft. It also debunks the dogma that's begun
to develop over the last fifty years. It provides a new definition
of magic, the secrets of successful spell casting and explains
why the Threefold Law is not the basis for Wiccan ethics providing
a much needed alternative.
Witch
Crafting is a radical revisioning of Wiccan spirituality based
on more than twenty years of very shamanic Wiccan practice. It's
intended to provoke our thinking, and re-empower your practices
with profound principles and new skills.
This
website will introduce you to some of those key principles and
practices that are explained in greater detail in Witch Crafting.
It will also provide you with my schedule of lectures and workshops,
an opportunity to join my mailing list, and lots of links to wonderful
resources. It is a portal into a spirituality full of holy magic
and sacred beauty. My hope is that you will find this site and
Witch Crafting valuable sources to help you live a divinely
inspired, magically empowered, and deeply fulfilled life!
