JANUARY 16, 1998: Oprah Winfrey announced today that the next selection for her televised Book Club will be Paradise by Toni Morrison. The hardcopy book is published by Alfred A. Knopf, a division of Random House, Inc. in New York.






TONI MORRISON is Robert F. Goheen Professor at Princeton University. She has written six previous novels, and has also received the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Pulitzer Prize, and the National Book Foundation Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters.
