Personal Life:

Peter Gethers was born in New York City. At a young age his family moved to Los Angeles where he grew up. Gethers attended three different universities — the University of California at Berkley, the University of London (University College), and UCLA, where he dropped out a few days before graduating.

In 1974, Gethers high-tailed it back to NYC as soon as possible, and has lived there ever since, always below 14th Street. During the last 25 years, he has also spent much time in France, living in Paris and Provence. In 1980, Gethers was one of the original founders of Rotisserie League Baseball — helping to unleash the nightmare of Fantasy Baseball on the world. Now, Gethers lives on Washington Square and has houses in Sag Harbor and in the countryside of Sicily, where he plans to spend as much time as possible writing and eating.
