Dean E. Murphy is a reporter for The New York Times who has written about the attacks on the World Trade Center. He previously worked as a foreign coffespondent at the Los Angeles Times, where he covered the terrorist bombings of the American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania as well as the conflict in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He lives in Montclair, New Jersey, with his wife and three children.
