INSTRUCTIONS

1. Enter any savings you've accumulated in Current Savings.

2. Enter your regular monthly investment in Monthly Savings.

3. Enter the annual interest rate you expect from your investment in Annual Interest Rate. For example, if you think you'll earn 10.5 percent (which is roughly the long-term return that common stocks have delivered), enter 10.5.

4. Enter the number of years you'll likely save in Years You'll Save.

5. To consider the effects of inflation when calculating your results, mark the Adjust For Inflation checkbox and enter the anticipated inflation rate. For example, the historical average of inflation since World War I is approximately 3.1%.

6. Click the Estimate button to see the results of your savings plan in the Estimated Wealth box.
