	News about Seabiscuit: The Movie A Universal Studios motion picture based on Seabiscuit: An American Legend is set to begin production in the coming months. Created by Larger Than Life Productions, the movie will be directed by Oscar nominee Gary Ross, writer of the critically acclaimed blockbusters "Big" and "Dave" and producer/writer/director of "Pleasantville." Ross, an avid racing enthusiast, is also serving as screenwriter on the film. Casting will be announced here soon; check back for details. NEW! Seabiscuit documentary in the works! Seabiscuit's life is now the subject of a television documentary, now finishing up production. Produced by the acclaimed documentarian Steve Ives, the one-hour film will premiere on PBS' popular American Experience series. The film will include extensive rare footage and photographs as well as interviews with those connected to Seabiscuit. The premiere date has yet to be announced. Check back here for updates.
