A NOTE FROM DEBORAH
I've spent a great deal of time in farmers markets all over the country and I've always enjoyed how much sharing takes place at these gatherings. While shopping, people are also busy introducing their friends to one another, exchanging recipes, news of the family and the farm. Often I overhear dinners being spontaneously planned among shoppers and I've planned quite a few this way myself.
While a web site won't be as bustling and colorful as a market, I hope you'll join me at this electronic table for some sharing of recipes, thoughts and observations, the rewards and challenges of eating locally, good new books on food and farming, maybe a movie or two.
