Welcome to the June issue of Potter Craft News!

Dear Crafters,

They say it’s always better to give than receive, but I have to admit, I like both. This month we present craft books with terrific gift ideas for all kinds of occasions to delight your family, friends, neighbors, and even four-legged companions. I realize that it may be too early to think about holiday shopping in June, but why not plan out a few choice projects now during summertime (when the livin’ is easy) and be done by Thanksgiving? Imagine that—a stress-free holiday! Best of all, early planning leaves plenty of time to make projects for yourself! Don’t you hate it when a project you’re making for someone else turns out so darn cute you don't want to give it away? Well, there are plenty of tempting projects—for babies and children, hosts and housewarmings, and birthdays and holidays in Jocelyn Worrall’s Simple Gifts to Stitch as well as Lion Brand Yarn’s Just Gifts. We are also particularly proud to bring to you the first book from everybody’s favorite friend, Amy Karol, the blogger behind Angry Chicken. She’s outdone herself with 30 adorable designs and plenty of encouragement along the way to throw the old rules out the window!

Rosy Ngo, Editorial Director
