Welcome to the July issue of Potter Craft News!

Dear Crafters,

Forgive me if I stroll down memory lane before I proudly announce the next book from the Yarn Girls, Julie Carles and Jordana Jacobs. Like many knitter-come-latelys, I learned how to knit by reading their first book, The Yarn Girls’ Guide to Simple Knits, published by Potter Craft’s (older) sister imprint, Clarkson Potter. With Julie and Jordana’s conversational style and easy-peasy patterns, I completed my first project, the Summer in the City tank top, in just a few days. Flaunting this sassy little knit was just the encouragement needed to spur a passion for knitting that hasn’t flagged since. A few months later, I could hardly believe my good luck when I was offered the opportunity to work at my favorite book publisher with the very authors whose book inspired a very expensive yarn habit.

As you might imagine, I am as pleased as punch to call your attention to the fifth book (where did all the time go?) by knitting BFFs Julie and Jordana, The Yarn Girls’ Guide to Knits for All Seasons. This is the most pattern-packed volume yet, with soon-to-be-favorite designs for women’s and men’s sweaters, accessories, and tanks and tees. If this is the first you’re hearing of the Yarn Girls, check out their other books and gift products below. They’ll be a hit with young, old, new, and experienced knitters alike.

Happy summer!

The Yarn Girls' Guide to Knits for All Seasons

While the Yarn Girls still love wool sweaters as much as the next knitter, in their fifth book they offer projects for the beach as well as the ski slopes. There’s no reason not to knit a tank or polo shirt on the beach, or whip up a vest or a turtleneck while watching autumn leaves change color. Organized by season, these 40 new patterns will keep your needles clicking year-round.
