Corrections to Shear Spirit:

We make every effort to provide accurate patterns and helpful information to our readers. The following corrections are for the patterns found in Shear Spirit . Materials

• The actual yardage needed is smaller than it seems as written in the book, the suggested yarn came in large skeins. You will need approx 70 yards of the MC and 25 yards of the CC, worsted weight.

• Check your gauge! Recent knits of this hat had size 7 or 8 needles required to get gauge, rather than the suggested size 6.

The last few rounds of decrease on the crown of the hat were left off the pattern in the book. The Shape Crown/Top of Hat section should continue with:
Round 7: * K3,k2tog; repeat from* around- 21 stitches

Round 8: * K2,k2tog; repeat from* around- 14 stitches

Round 9 * K1,k2tog; repeat from* around- 7 stitches

Round 10: K1, k2tog 3 times- 4 stitches
