Suzanne Hansen grew up in the small town of Cottage Grove, Oregon. After attending Northwest Nannies Institute in Portland, Oregon, she moved to Los Angeles, where she worked as a live-in nanny before returning to Oregon to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Linfield College. Throughout her professional health care career, she has served as a high-risk labor and delivery nurse, lactation specialist, and childbirth educator.

Drawn from her own professional and personal experience, as well as extensive interviews with fellow nannies, Hansen’s memoir You’ll Never Nanny in This Town Again: The True Adventures of a Hollywood Nanny marks the author’s debut on the world stage of nonfiction.

Hansen resides in Portland, Oregon, with her husband and two children.
