Dear Cooks,

Since you’re probably still stuffed from all those delicious but waistline-expanding-holiday treats, and could most definitely use a break from cooking, we decided to skip a recipe this month. Instead, we thought we'd share a few of the 204 justifications you can use if you’ve cheated on your diet (and who hasn’t lately?) from It Doesn’t Count If...by Daisy Westmoor. After all, of course it doesn’t count if:

  • it comes on top of lettuce
  • you actually consume it at the gym
  • your grandmother feeds it to you

Your real diet may start tomorrow. But for now, this book is a wonderful (and calorie-free!) way to pretend.

 

 

 

And because we all need an excuse to break that New Year's resolution...
