Broadway Books,
an imprint of Random House, released its first list in Fall 1996 - four politically themed books appropriate to a Presidential election year, including the bestselling Bare Knuckles and Back Rooms by Ed Rollins. With its subsequent lists Broadway branched out considerably and has evolved into a lively publisher of hardcover and paperback books for a wide variety of areas, as well as a home to many stellar writing talents.

Two renowned travel writers in our "Broadway Abroad" category are Frances Mayes (Under The Tuscan Sun) and Bill Bryson (A Walk In the Woods). Our "Broadway Cooks" list includes some of the best cookbook writers in the business, such as Deborah Madison (Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone), and Mark Bittman (The Minimalist Cooks at Home). "Broadway Inspirations" exemplifies our commitment to books that offer the best practical advice in self-help, fitness, finance, and many other areas, and includes authors Lama Surya Das (Letting Go of the Person You Used To Be), fitness guru Brooke Siler (The Pilates Body), and finance coach David Bach (The Automatic Millionaire). Jane Moore's sophisticated and spirited Fourplay epitomizes the stylish contemporary fiction we publish. We also publish a wide range of books for an African American audience underneath our Harlem Moon imprint. And in a class by himself is Bill O'Reilly, the voice of and for the average American, the million-copy bestselling author of Who's Looking Out For You. Here at Broadway we're always evolving, but ever committed to publishing fresh, original, and insightful titles in a wide range of topics. Our monthly e-newsletters function to keep our readers abreast of our latest releases and new directions.
