Praise

Praise

“Personal and communal, informative and affecting, this mammoth book of protest, progress, and regression eloquently confirms that the long, frustrating battle rages on to secure women access to respectful, high-quality, and unbiased health care.”
Booklist

“Before her death, crusading journalist Seaman compiled this hefty collection of feminist writings on women's health. Revisit the struggle for control of our bodies through the works of Shere Hite, Shulamith Firestone, Gloria Steinem, Phyllis Chesler and more."
Ms. Magazine

“A valuable work for anyone interested in the women’s health movement and an essential resource for all collections."
Library Journal

“What a vital compendium of women’s health and feminist history Voices of the Women's Health Movement is, essential food for the body and the mind. To paraphrase Alice Walker, the writings contained in this book all fall into the category of 'words that save lives.'"
