Lisa Atwood thinks she is finally getting a horse of her very own. A new horse has arrived at Pine Hollow and Lisa is convinced that her parents are planning to buy it for her, so of course she volunteers to help school it. But training this horse is a lot more difficult then Lisa thought--in fact, it turns out to be dangerous. Meanwhile, Carole Hanson is having schooling problems of her own. She's about to fail a course, and she doesn't know where to turn for help. Should she try to struggle through on her own? Or admit defeat and just give up?
Can the Saddle Club turn these two schooling disasters into happy endings?
About Bonnie Bryant
Welcome to the Saddle Club!
There are only two rules in this club: You’ve got to be horse crazy, and you’ve got to be willing to help your friends.
Sound good? All you have to do to join is turn the page and start reading.
You’re going to meet a lot of new people in the Saddle Club. Some of them you’re going to love, and some of them . . . well, maybe not so much.
The club has three main members: Stevie (short for Stephanie), Carole, and Lisa.
Carole is the horse craziest of them all. Sometimes it seems as if horses are the only things on her mind. Lisa is cool-headed and logical, a straight-A student with a great memory. Stevie, on the other hand, can be a little impetuous and often forgets to use common sense. When she sees people in trouble, she’ll do just about anything to help get them out of it—and that’s where the fun begins!
So saddle up—I mean, open the book, and share the girls’ adventures, troubles, and triumphs. Join them as they solve mysteries, make friends, and visit new places. Learn about Pine Hollow Stables. Meet Max, their teacher, and Mrs. Reg, Max’s mother. Get to know some of the other riders, like Phil and Veronica. Well, you might not want to get to know Veronica. You’ll have to see for yourself.
Most of all, have fun with your fellow Saddle Club members, who are sure to become your new best friends.
