Richard SarnoffRichard Sarnoff
Richard Sarnoff is President of Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments (BDMI) a subsidiary of Bertelsmann AG, Europe's largest media company, and at $25 Billion in revenues, one of the world's foremost private companies. In addition, Mr. Sarnoff serves as Executive Vice President of Random House, Inc., the leading global consumer publisher, with revenues over $2 billion and operations in 12 countries, and serves as a member of the Supervisory Board of Bertelsmann, which is the parent company of Random House, Inc. He also currently serves as Chairman of the American Association of Publishers.

As President of BDMI, Mr. Sarnoff oversees the company's investment activities in digital media, with portfolio companies including Vocel, American Reading Company, The Princeton Review (NASDAQ: REVU), Audible, Inc., (NASDAQ: ADBL), Xlibris, Exit Games, RoyaltyShare, and UITV. Mr. Sarnoff previously held various management positions at Random House, Inc., and its predecessor company, Bantam Doubleday Dell including as EVP and Chief Financial Officer beginning in 1996. In 2000, Mr. Sarnoff became President, Random House Corporate Development Group, and directed Random House's new media, merger and acquisition, strategic planning, and venture capital activities. Mr. Sarnoff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard University. In addition to board position in various portfolio companies of BDMI, Mr. Sarnoff serves on the Board of Directors of Activision, Inc. as well as not-for-profit organizations including the Center for Communication, Princeton University Press, and the Bronx Lab School.

Shobhna MohnShobhna Mohn

Shobhna Mohn is a Principal at BDMI. Her primary focus is on new investments in Europe, especially in digital media businesses related to magazine publishing and media services. She was previously Vice President of Investor Relations at Bertelsmann AG. Prior to that, Ms. Mohn founded and ran the seed-stage financing incubator, Bertelsmann Valley, making investments in various companies in the internet and media space. Before founding Bertelsmann Valley she worked within the Corporate Development division at Bertelsmann AG. She has an M.Phil Degree in Management Science/Operations Research from the Business School at Columbia University in New York and a Masters Degree in Mathematics from the University of Delhi in India.

Keith TitanKeith Titan

Keith Titan is a Principal at BDMI. He was previously Vice President of Random House Ventures, L.L.C., where he spearheaded new investments and helped guide strategy for various portfolio companies. Prior to that, he was Vice President of New Media for Random House, Inc. where he pursued new business opportunities with companies exploring innovative ways to connect digital media, the web and publishing. Prior to that Mr. Titan was Senior Director of ePublishing and eCommerce at Simon & Schuster Inc. Prior to that, he worked as a Marketing Manager at Penguin Group (USA) Inc. and as an advertising Account Executive at J. Walter Thompson. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, an MBA from Rutgers University and an Ed.M. from Harvard University. Mr. Titan currently serves on the board of directors for Imagespan, Emotive Communications and Xlibris. He is on the board of advisors for VOCEL and is a board observer for American Reading Company, Trion World Network and RoyaltyShare.

Urs CeteUrs Cete

Urs Cete is a Principal at BDMI. Before joining BDMI he worked in Bertelsmann AG's corporate controlling & strategy department where he was in charge of group controlling and group strategy. Prior to that, Mr. Cete worked and lectured for the finance department of the Handelshochschule Leipzig specializing in corporate valuation. He graduated from the Handelshochschule Leipzig and holds an MBA from Tulane University. Mr. Cete currently serves on the supervisory board of Blue Lion Mobile, producers of the mobile social messenger Qeep.

Jan BorgstädtJan Borgstädt

Jan Borgstädt is a Principal at BDMI. Before joining BDMI Jan Borgstaedt was a member of the Bertelsmann Entrepreneurs Program, working as a consultant on several digital media projects throughout the divisions of Bertelsmann AG. Prior to that he founded a professional publishing house and later sold it to a major German media group. Mr. Borgstädt graduated from the University of Münster in Germany specializing in Finance & Controlling. He also holds a Masters of Marketing from EADA Business School in Spain.

Annabelle LongAnnabelle Long

Annabelle Long is a Principal of Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments and currently represents BDMI in Asia. Prior to BDMI, Ms. Long worked on the Asia growth strategy and the establishment of the China headquarters for Bertelsmann AG. Ms. Long also worked on corporate development for Random House and wireless business development for Fremantle Media. Prior to that, Ms. Long spent eight years in China's media sector as an anchor and producer for a variety of highly rated, award-winning television and radio programs in China. Ms. Long holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BSEE from the University of Electronic Science and Technology in China.
