Peter Wyden was formerly a writer for Newsweek and executive editor of Ladies' Home Journal. For a decade he was the president of Peter Wyden Books, a publishing house specializing in works about psychology and medicine. He is the author of more than a dozen books, including The Intimate Enemy (with Dr. George R. Bach), Day One: Before Hiroshima and After, and Bay of Pigs: The Untold Story. Born in Berlin, he lives with his wife in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
