Nelson Demille

Bestselling author Nelson DeMille started out writing police detective novels in the mid-1970s under a pen name after a stint in the US Army in Vietnam. He later became an insurance fraud investigator before giving up his day job and committing himself to writing full time under his own name. He lives on Long Island.
