William Nicholson is best known as a writer of plays and screenplays, including Shadowlands and Gladiator. His first adult novel, The Society of Others, was published in January 2005, and his second, The Trial of True Love, will be published in May 2006. He is also the best-selling and award-winning children's author of The Wind on Fire trilogy.
