Her articles have appeared in InStyle, Vibe, Heart & Soul, Mode, Girl, and Weight Watchers. Raines has also contributed to three books: SoulStyle: Black Women Defining Fashion, Tenderheaded: A Comb-bending Collection of Hair Stories, and Essence Total Makeover. She has consulted for leading beauty companies, including Revlon, Clairol, Black Opal, and PhytoSpecific.
