Vancouver Sun as one of B.C.'s ten "most vaunted" writers. He has been published in numerous literary journals and anthologies, and was nominated by Prism International for the CAA/Air Canada Award for most promising writer under 30. The opening piece of
Sputnik Diner won Prairie Fire's Long Fiction Competition and was the winner of a Western Magazine Award. Rick Maddocks lives in Vancouver.
