The finished audiobook will be available at www.firstbook.org, with all proceeds going to First Book, a children’s literacy organization that provides books to underprivileged children and their communities.

More than 300 people lent their voices to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz!

We had a fantastic weekend of recording The Wonderful Wizard of Oz at ALA June 25-27, finishing the audiobook just in time on Sunday evening, meeting our goal with 301 total voices! Our “studio” inside OverDrive’s DigitalBookmobile was perfect—most of our narrators-for-a-day were reluctant to leave the mic after only one page, and many nailed it on the first take! We had a lot of fun recording and meeting everyone.
