12 Days of Listening, Day Eight: Best Audiobooks for Boys

You don’t NECESSARILY have to be a boy to enjoy these rambunctious listens, but it definitely doesn’t hurt. As long as you like wacky adventures, secret powers, daring battles, baseball, and internet hacking, you’ll find something you like.

CAL RIPKIN, JR.’S ALL-STARS: SUPER-SIZED SLUGGER is about Cody Parker, a new kid at school who constantly gets teased about his weight. All Cody wants to do is play baseball, but will anyone see him for who he really is? A CONFUSION OF PRINCES by Garth Nix is an action-packed coming-of-age story set against a backdrop of dueling princes, sinister intrigue, and epic interstellar battles, while PIRATE CINEMA by Cory Doctorow imagines a near-future where young people must battle a bill that would criminalize their Internet creativity. Fans of Trenton Lee Stewart’s The Mysterious Benedict Society series will enjoy THE EXTRAORDINARY EDUCATION OF NICHOLAS BENEDICT, a companion story that follows the adventures of the society’s namesake. And for the kid who has everything, except for superhuman abilities, check out THE PALADIN PROPHECY, about a boy who must be sure to get mediocre grades and not do to well on the cross-country team unless he wants his true abilities to be revealed… and not even HE knows what he can really do.

You don’t have to go to Mars for these great listens. Enter to Win!
