Robert A. Caro has won numerous major awards, including the Pulitzer Prize for Biography, the Francis Parkman Prize (awarded by the Society of American Historians for the book that “exemplifies the union of the historian and the artist”), and two National Book Critics Circle Awards. His biography of Robert Moses, The Power Broker, was chosen as one of the hundred best nonfiction books of the twentieth century.

Caro was graduated from Princeton University and later became a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University. He lives in New York City with his wife, Ina.
