Hogarth Shakespeare Project

Random House's Hogarth imprint announces The Hogarth Shakespeare Project which will see the Bard's plays retold by acclaimed, bestselling novelists and brought alive for a contemporary readership. The first two retellings will be The Taming of the Shrew by Pulitzer Prize winner Anne Tyler and A Winter's Tale by Jeanette Winterson, who was awarded the OBE in 2006 for her services to British literature. The project will launch in 2016 to mark the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death.
