Choice Library Awards

Into the Silence

Choice Magazine has announced their annual Outstanding Academic Title list and six Random House as well as two Beacon Press titles have been selected: Wade Davis's Into the Silence, Diana L. Eck's India, Henry Louis Gates, Jr.'s Life Upon These Shores, David L. Hudson, Jr.'s Let the Students Speak (Beacon Press), Louis Hyman's Borrow, Dan McKanan's Prophetic Encounters (Beacon Press), Candice Millard's Destiny of the Republic, and James Romm's Ghost on the Throne. Chosen each year from thousands of titles the list is comprised of "outstanding works [that] have been selected for their excellence in scholarship and presentation, the significance of their contribution to the field, and their value as important treatments of their subject."
