Samuel Johnson Prize Shortlist

Katherine Boo's Behind the Beautiful Forevers and Wade Davis's Into the Silence have both been shortlisted for the Samuel Johnson Prize. The United Kingdom's "premier prize for non-fiction books," The Samuel Johnson Prize "aims to reward the best of non-fiction and is open to authors of all non-fiction books in the areas of current affairs, history, politics, science, sport, travel, biography, autobiography and the arts." The winner will be announced November 12th and will receive a £20,000 award.
