Philip Roth Wins the Man Booker International Prize

Philip Roth

Chosen from a list of 13 writers, Philip Roth has been named the winner of the fourth Man Booker International Prize, given every two years to recognize achievement in fiction by an author whose work is widely published in English. The prize comes with a £60,000 award. A Man Booker press release calls Roth "a literary giant and one of the world's most prolific, celebrated—and controversial—writers." Roth's most recent novel, Nemesis, will be released in paperback by Vintage Books in October and many of his other novels are available in paperback here.
