Dr. Charles Brenner, author of An Elementary Textbook of Psychoanalysis (Anchor), died on May 22, 2008. The text, first published in 1955, became a standard reference in training programs and sold more than a million copies, becoming the best-selling text on psychoanalysis by someone other than Freud.
